Description
Salem Witch Trials, 1692 – digital and AI art. To create this artwork, first I searched for drawings and paintings about the Salem Witch Trials to see how to create my prompts. Then I described how the image should be, and I generated a few images. I selected the image that looks closest to the result I wanted and I upscaled it. Then I recreated the faces of all the people with inpainting. At the end I edited the hands and the small details that were not looking that good. The Salem witch trials occurred in colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and May 1693, resulting in over 200 accusations of witchcraft. Thirty people were found guilty, with 19 executed by hanging, including 14 women and 5 men. Giles Corey died under torture, and at least five died in jail. The trials led to widespread hysteria, reflecting broader witch-hunting trends in colonial America.
